Flickr Friday

Are you all familiar with Flickr?
I love their tagline, "Share your photos, watch the world."
People from all over the world upload photos on flickr, for everyone to see.
And there are some amazing photos!

Several years ago my husband and I were in Florida.
We had the opportunity to visit St Augustine,
one of the oldest cities in the US.

That evening we went on a ghost tour,
and had such a great time.
Our tour guide was especially gifted
at telling spooky ghost tales.

The tour ended at the cemetary,
the same cemetary pictured in this flickr photo...

We didn't spot any ghosts there,
but apparently other people have!

Halloween Luminaries

OK, I'm loving this idea.
These luminaries are just plain gorgeous!
And yes, it's last minute if you're wanting them for Halloween
but wouldn't they be beautiful
on a Thanksgiving table?
Or use different colors for Christmas!

Halloween worksheets

Need a last minute Halloween activity for the kids?

Are you ready for Halloween?

Anyone in need of a last minute costume?
I might need one since my daughter's costume
seems to have disappeared.

Alpha Mom has instructions
on how to turn a t-shirt into an owl costume
in only a couple of hours.
Isn't it super cute?!
Love it!

Trick or Treat bag!

OK, I admit that my kids have always just used
the plastic jack o' lantern buckets
for trick or treating.

But this year I think I may switch
to these great trick or treat bags.
They only take 5 minutes to make!!
And they're super cute!

You can find instructions right here.

FAQ

FAQ page for my shop...
Frequently Asked Questions:

Where do I tell you what names/words I'd like stamped on my order?
Please leave all names/words, font choice, and any other details of your order in the "message to seller" box which is located down at the bottom during checkout. Be sure to double check the spelling on names since this is where I get my order list (not from convos).

Can you stamp on the back of the jewelry?

No, the stamps sink into the metal and the impression shows on the opposite side, no matter how thick our available metals are.

How will my order be shipped?
Orders are shipped via USPS first class mail with insurance and delivery confirmation. They are shipped in a box tied with a ribbon-- perfect for gift giving. (If you need to upgrade to priority shipping please contact us.)

Can I get a gift tag?
Yes, just request a gift tag (no extra charge), and let me know what text you'd like included on it. This is the perfect choice when shipping your order directly to the gift recipient!

How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are generally finished and shipped within 2 weeks of order placement, please allow an additional 3-5 business days for in-transit time.
Please note that during our busiest times of the year (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Christmas) it may take longer than normal to finish your order.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, on a case by case basis. We prefer not to ship internationally during the busiest times of the year, but feel free to contact us about it.

What do I do if I need my order rushed?
If you need your order rush please contact us first! It may not always be possible to fit in a rush order, but many times we can do it without a problem. Please note that a rush fee may be applied depending on the circumstances.

How do I clean my jewelry?

It is best to clean your jewelry with a silver polishing cloth or a polish pad. A small polishing cloth is included with your order. Repeatedly getting the letters wet can eventually result in fading.

Thanks for stopping by!

Last weekend for part of our "staycation"
we took the kids to Lagoon,
which is an amusement park
just north of Salt Lake City.
They've been to Disneyworld several times,
but never to Lagoon.
They LOVED it!

Being pregnant I wasn't able to go on too many rides,
but the kids had a fantastic time.
You can see a little glimpse of the park
in this flickr photo.

New typewriter font!

We have a new font available!
Our lowercase typewriter font is so cute, I hope you like it too.

The letters on this font aren't all exactly the same size, so it will give you a more eclectic and less perfect look. If you like your letters lined up perfectly straight then this is not the font for you-- the way the stamps are made makes it impossible for me to line them up perfectly.

This font is a bit larger and won't work on every listing in my shop.
Don't use this font if you have a lot of letters that need to fit on your piece.

It will work for the monogram and initial listings, tiny tags necklaces, petite name necklaces, family ties, blessed beyond measure, je t'aime, bloom, wish, large family circle, shine brightly, it's a boy/girl, sisters necklace, young love, and hugs and kisses listings.

Pumpkin Stencils

If you're anything like me maybe carving pumpkins isn't the easiest thing in the world.
Just making a simple jack-o-lantern face is a challenge.
But last year I picked up a pumpkin carving kit similar to this one.
It made a huge difference!
But I'm still not a pumpkin artist.

So I appreciated finding these free printable pumpkin stencils.
Have you carved your pumpkins yet?

This weekend my kids are out of school,
and we are having a "staycation"
or a stay at home vacation.
(Please excuse delays in replies to emails and convos!)
We're trying to do lots of the fun local things
that we don't have time for normally.

Last night we headed up to temple square in Salt Lake City.
We visited the Visitor's Centers,
and listened to the
Tabernacle Choir's rehearsal.

And we showed our kids once again
the beautiful place where we were married--
the Salt Lake Temple,
as seen in this flickr photo.

Flickr Friday

I apologize that the Flickr Friday post is so late this week.
It's been a crazy week, and I took a little break from the computer yesterday
to try to get some things finished up,
and I completely forgot to update the blog!
So hopefully better late than never:

My cousin's family just returned from a trip to Disneyland.
They talked about how fun it was seeing everything
all decorated for Halloween,
and I realized that I've never been to Disney at Halloween...
So of course I had to look up some photos on Flickr
to see how fantastic it looks.
It really looks SO fun!

Today I'm sharing this photo of Disney's California Adventure
all ready for Halloween.
It really makes me wish that we were going there this month!

Autumn is here!

The red in the mountains has been beckoning us,
so last week we went up to the canyon for family night.

It was the absolute perfect time to go!

The leaves were just breathtaking everywhere we looked.

When we made it to Timpanogos Falls there wasn't another soul in sight!

Eventually we did head back down,
but only after we spent some time
taking in the beautiful views!

Is it looking like Fall where you live?
